This is where you would Manage the different users which operate the backend of your site, or as front-end users interact with with your website by commenting, communicating via a forum or making online purchases.

  • All Users” shows you all the users that have been created. (You can delete users by clicking on the “Trash” link in the pages listings)
  • To add a user click on “Add New”:
    • Fill in the User Name
    • Email
    • First Name
    • Last Name
    • Website
    • Password
    • Repeat Password (WordPress will check if your password is secure enough)
    • Weather you want a copy sent to their email
    • And the Role of the user:
      • Administrator – nothing is off limits
      • Editor – has access to all posts, pages, comments, categories, tags, and links.
      • Author – can write, upload photos to, edit, and publish their own posts.
      • Contributor – has no publishing or uploading capability, but can write and edit their own posts until they are published
      • Follower (public sites) / Viewer (private sites only) – can read and comment on posts and pages
    • When you are finished click Add New User.
